A distinction can be drawn between two main categories:

§                     metal braids: galvanised or stainless steel, red copper, tin-plated copper, etc

§                     textile braids: polyester, cotton, aramide, glass fibre, mono filament PP, etc

These braids are made directly on your own supports, or, in the case of metal braids, in tubular versions.
