TPE Pipes
SANTOPRENE® thermoplastic rubber has similar characteristics to many conventional vulcanised rubbers. These characteristics can be summed up essentially as follows:
- Stable mechanical properties within a temperature range of -10°C to +100°C.
- Excellent resistance to dynamic fatigue, good tear and abrasion resistance.
- Low deformation under compression and traction.
- Density below 1.
- Fire classification as slow to combust.
SANTOPRENE®piping offers good resistance to fluids comparable to polychloroprenes with respect to aqueous fluids, oils and hydrocarbons. In addition its excellent weathering resistance mean it is a highly versatile product for a large number of applications.

Apart from the choice of hardness and colour, SANTOPRENE® pipes can be offered in a fire-proofed version (raw material UL 94 V0), or reinforced for very demanding situations (harsh climate conditions, prolonged exposure to hot air, etc). Similarly certain versions can be supplied for use in contact with foodstuffs (raw material FDA, BGA, NSF, etc.). Other thermoplastic rubber products with improved hydrocarbon resistance or more economical versions are also available.
