Plastelec Tubes supplies major industrial companies in the following sectors:
- automotive equipment,
- household electrical appliances,
- electrical construction,
- aerospace, control systems,
- chemicals, medical applications,
- building, etc.
PLASTELEC Tubes had an extension in the year 2000 which increased its total floor area by nearly one third. This has enabled it to overhaul its internal arrangements and improve its organisation.

Christophe TAMET is also in charge of another company, PLASTELEC Câbles. This was set up in 1961 by Mr Louis TAMET; it is located in AMBERT in the Puy de Dôme départment and as of today its premises cover nearly 13,000 m². Investments made in 2001 increased its total surface area by nearly one quarter, notably with the construction of a logistics platform.
PLASTELEC integrates two companies: PLASTELEC Câbles and PLASTELEC Tresses. They are completely independent from PLASTELEC Tubes.
The first of these specialises in the extrusion of flexible plastic material covered electric wiring and cables (standard and high temperature PVC, silicone, polyethylene and other thermoplastics).
The second company is a subsidiary of PLASTELEC Câbles. It specialises in the manufacture of wiring and cables by braiding, taping, wrapping and coating, using glass fibre, Terphane, etc. PLASTELEC Tresses was set up in 1973 by Louis TAMET and is now managed by Mr Eric TAMET.
